Dean SADC
Dean is a very special dog to us. We rescued him from an extremely bad situation. Not only was he abused physically and emotionally, he was neglected and starved. He still wears those scares in his mind and on his body. The day we brought him home he weighed 19 pounds and was 7 months old. He could not stand on his own and his head was swollen and had cuts on the left side behind his eyes. This is why he now has no muscles on the left side of his head (hence why his ears are lopped sided). It took us months to get this frightened little puppy to trust us and other humans. He would cower in the corner and screech for hours if you even raised your hand to him. He would not take a collar or get anywhere near you if you had any sort of object in your hand that could be perceived as a weapon. Over the last few years we have worked hard to get his spirit back and now he thinks that people are just giant animated vending machines. He will now go up and down stairs on his own, and is not deathly terrified of Erik.
We would like to thank everyone who has helped to save this precious dog. We love him and are proud we could offer him a good happy long life.

Good Job Dean!!!
As mentioned above, Dean had attended the K9 Kup in 2006 & 2007. At his first event he was a bit nervous and would not do any jumps or the tire. We all had a good time encouraging him as he tried so hard to do it right. He even went so far as to go through a jump instead of over it. We worked on jumps each week leading up to the next event and when he got on that field he had a blast. He still is trying to avoid jumps but did really well in his snooker run, bringing in top points on his team!
So this is Dean's second agility season and it had started off really good. He got his SADC title and is one jumpers Q away from his games title. We do not have any trials comming up till the end of the summer so Dean will be keeping himself busy brushing up at the K9 Kup.
Dean's Stats so far:
2008
Dean has spent this entire summer being my dedicated cheer leader. He hasn't been to any trials as a competitor but is there often to cheer(litterally) on his brother Zep and friends. Dean has ran on the KK9 k9 Kup team and done well but still loves the whole socialising thing a bit too much to stay in the ring..........we love him anyway!!!!! dean and his Big Green Ball can be seen coasting the side lines looking for a free treat or just a good pat on the head :)
